Through its new service, Thermo Fisher Scientific’s dedicated team of technical experts can digitally monitor WiFi-connected TSX Series Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) freezers in the laboratory. By collecting key performance data from the connected freezers, the service aims to provide optimal sample and product protection. Monitoring 37 types of alarms and 26 operating parameters, the system provides users with a complete status overview of connected freezers. Alerts include ambient and cabinet temperature, power failure, battery status, door ajar, connectivity signal, filter efficacy, and others. Technical experts analyze the collected data to identify out-of-specification operation and provide laboratories with both necessary reactive warnings and long-term proactive maintenance recommendations. Timely response to operational issues mitigates the risk of system failures, thereby minimizing downtime and costs associated with unplanned maintenance and loss of vaccines and samples. Additional benefits include priority technical support with Digital Remote Support tools, priority on-site support, and annual preventive maintenance.
