Bio-Rad announces the launch of its SARS-CoV-2, flu, RSV positive and negative run controls, which are designed to enable laboratories to evaluate day-to-day and lot-to-lot variation of their multiplexed molecular assay and to test for operator proficiency. The positive run control is manufactured with whole organism SARS-CoV-2, influenza A, influenza B, and RSV (A); it is formulated in a synthetic matrix and contains human genomic DNA. The negative run control is negative for SARS-CoV-2, influenza A, influenza B, and RSV (A) and is formulated in a synthetic matrix and contains human genomic DNA. Both products are available in kits of 5 vials, have a 1.0 mL fill volume, and can be stored at -20°C or below.
