The Temp-Check from Hampshire Controls is designed to help blood bank technicians more easily determine the temperature of blood components in a fast and noninvasive manner. The system measures the temperature of plasma, red blood cells, cryoprecipitate, and other blood elements. Users simply place blood component bags on the insulated pad and receive a temperature reading within 30 seconds. The unit is lightweight and includes rechargeable battery backup for portability.
