EKF Diagnostics announces the DiaSpect hemoglobin analyzer for rapid anemia screening and the Quo-Lab HbA1c analyzer. The DiaSpect has received US FDA 510(k) clearance and CLIA waiver for use in POC settings, such as physicians’ offices, clinics, and other nontraditional laboratory locations. DiaSpect is user-friendly, requiring minimal training to deliver accurate hemoglobin measurements (precision: CV ≤1%) within 2 seconds from a whole-blood sample. The Quo-Lab and Quo-Test glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) analyzers are designed to deliver results traceable to the IFCC reference method within just 4 minutes. Both analyzers have been demonstrated in recent evaluation studies to deliver lab-accurate HbA1c results from finger prick or venous whole blood.
