Chembio Diagnostics introduces the SURE CHECK HIV 1/2  assay, a self-contained, single-use collection and testing device for the rapid visual detection of antibodies to HIV 1 and 2. It is FDA approved, CLIA-waived, and pre-qualified by the World Health Organization. Assay results are obtained in 15 minutes using only a 2.5 uL blood sample (ie, finger stick, serum, plasma, or venipuncture whole blood). The assay is stable at room temperature and provides 99.7% sensitivity and 99.9% specificity.
