Laboratory director Lisa Veri shares her institution’s experience in implementing and optimizing hematology automation to ease challenges from widespread staffing shortages.
Lisa will outline how to maximize vendor relationships and establish best practices for system implementation, including troubleshooting.
Lisa J. Veri, BS, MLS(ASCP)CM, is the administrative laboratory director at Milford Regional Medical Center (MRMC) in Milford, Massachusetts, a 148-bed, nonprofit, acute-care facility serving. The laboratory also services MRMC’s physician group, Milford Regional Physician Group (MRPG), a group of over 100 physicians in a range of specialties. Lisa has been in the laboratory field for 22 years with varied positions from trauma centers to combat hospitals as a member of the Army Reserve. Her background is as a generalist, but Lisa maintains a special interest in hematology.
