The HemataSTAT II is a self-contained, portable micro-hematocrit centrifuge that features an easy-to-use, built-in digital tube reader. The device can spin up to six samples for just 60 seconds, position a tube on the built-in reader tray, and move the slider over the tube to mark the three sample interfaces. Then, the quantitative hematocrit result is instantly displayed. The HemataSTAT II uses standard 75 mm plastic or plastic-wrapped capillary tubes so the cost per test is minimal. Safety features include an automatic lid lock and gasket seal, and in the event of a tube sealant blowout the operator can discard the tube holder and tube safely. The LabSpin centrifuge package is a cost-effective, low volume centrifuge for sample processing and specimen receiving. It includes the Hettich Rotofix 32A centrifuge, a 4-place swing-out rotor, buckets, inserts, and an aerosol-tight, locking lid.
