The Substantial Power of Your Input

July/August 2021 - Vol.10 No. 7 - Page #1

Having recently wrapped our annual State of Laboratory Technology survey, I am once again reminded of the generous spirit that embodies clinical laboratory leaders. Taking time out of a busy and demanding schedule to provide valuable feedback is not always a first choice, but to those of you who participated, we wholeheartedly thank you.

This marks the 8th year of our survey and in that time, we have seen a consistent dedication to information sharing and benchmarking. The clinical laboratory field remains competitive, intellectually curious, and cognizant of the ways in which technology can facilitate better and more effective diagnostic and therapeutic services. By sharing these practices, we can project an image representative of the whole, and help you make the justifiable case to continue acquiring new technology. As always, we will make the survey results available in a PowerPoint slide package once the State of Laboratory Technology issue is released this fall. For past examples, visit medlabmag.com/slides

MedicalLab Management exists to help elevate the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine, and we encourage you to participate in some way. We are all in the fight together and as has been the case throughout these turbulent times, laboratory leaders are on the vanguard as champions of public health. We applaud your efforts and look forward to what the future has to hold. In the meantime, please keep participating in our survey and we hope you look forward to the results in our November issue.

With best regards,
