Carin Flom, MT(ASCP), is the quality manager of the South Region for Sanford Laboratories and has been with Sanford Health for over 20 years, beginning in microbiology at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD before transitioning to a generalist position and later into the blood bank. She spent many years working with the laboratory information system (LIS) and oversaw the transition of the blood bank LIS to a new vendor. Carin is the quality specialist with the Sanford Medical Genetics Laboratory, currently helping to get CLIA and CAP certification for the new genetics laboratory.
