Tina Chanez is the director of laboratory quality and compliance at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where she provides oversight and strategic direction for the department of pathology’s quality, regulatory, accreditation, and compliance activities, including CAP ISO 15189, CAP LAP, CLIA, and AABB. Prior to joining SJCRH, Tina worked in the blood center industry for over 20 years, where she gained expertise in quality assurance and regulatory compliance. She holds a bachelor of science from the University of Iowa and an MBA from St. Ambrose University. Tina is a certified medical laboratory scientist (ASCP), a certified quality auditor (ASQ), a certified manager of quality/organizational excellence (ASQ), and is certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt. Her expertise in quality management, regulatory compliance, and process improvement allows her to lead teams toward achieving excellence in laboratory operations and patient care.
