The UV-Box from Air Science is a high-efficiency chamber designed to safely decontaminate contents while providing a safe work environment. High-intensity UV lamps are strategically positioned within the cabinet to eliminate blind spots, producing short wave ultraviolet light at 254 nm to destroy exposed surface DNA and bacteria, eliminating contamination prior to other tests, analyses, or procedures. Corners and walls are smooth for easy cleaning and stainless-steel surfaces naturally reflect UV radiation to ensure contents are fully irradiated.

The user is protected from UV radiation by the UV absorbing window and via safety controls that prevent the UV lamps from activating until the cabinet door is securely closed. Other safety features include a UV timer, a hanging rod, and a shelf to support or suspend items for decontamination.
