Sight Diagnostics has received US FDA 510(k) clearance for its OLO CBC analyzer to be used in moderately complex laboratories and hospitals. Providing 5-part CBC results with 19 parameters and sophisticated flagging capabilities, it is cleared to process blood taken directly from either a finger prick or a venous sample. Using a patented method of digitizing blood samples, the analyzer automates the identification and counting of different blood cell types and anomalies and runs the data through proprietary machine vision algorithms. Able to return blood test results within minutes, the analyzer is compact, easy to use, and can help reduce costs in low-volume settings.
