Low-Volume Hematology Analyzer

CellaVision

CellaVision introduces its smallest analyzer ever—the DC-1—custom designed for low-volume labs. Part of a cost-effective digital cell morphology program, the DC-1 analyzer can be implemented stand-alone in a small independent lab or in the satellite labs of a distributed laboratory network. With a loading capacity of 1 slide and a throughput of approximately 10 slides per hour, the analyzer automatically locates, and digitally captures and pre-classifies cells, after which the operator verifies and/or modifies the suggested classification if necessary. The operator may also introduce additional observations and comments when needed. The system automatically captures digital images of cells from blood smears and creates a digital scan of pre-defined areas deemed interesting in the specimen.
