The CA5000 from Hampshire Controls is designed to safeguard sensitive materials by delivering freezer backup for ultra-low temperature (ULT) storage. The system includes temperature monitoring, on-site and remote alarms, battery backup, and liquid CO² injection for 10+ hours of extended cold storage operation, providing the time to restore power, repair the freezer, or transfer the freezer’s contents. A manual CO² injection from the CA5000 will bring a freezer to ULT immediately without having to wait for the typical freezer cooldown interval. The system offers ease of programming and includes adjustable settings for alarm temperature conditions, alarm delay periods, and backup CO² injection initiation conditions.
